The Electrical Skills Department at Yanbu Technical Institute, under the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, achieved an international accomplishment by winning second place in the ISA EMEA 2025 Competition. The award-winning team included students Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al-Amoudi and Mohammed Waleed Mohammed Al-Qarni, who received the honor during the Automation and Digital Transformation Conference 2025 held in Al Khobar. The winning project addressed occupational safety by developing a smart safety helmet equipped with multiple sensors capable of detecting and accurately locating an injured worker. The helmet also monitors several vital signs to ensure rapid emergency response and help save lives. This achievement represents another milestone for Yanbu Technical Institute, reflecting the competence of its students and their ability to compete successfully on the international stage.
