Management Sciences Female Students Participate in the Forge Hackathon at KFUPM

Students from the Management Sciences Department at Yanbu Industrial College achieved a distinguished accomplishment during their participation in the FORGE Hackathon, held at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran on April 28–29, 2026. Their participation showcased the department's commitment to innovation through the development of a practical technology-driven solution for industrial challenges.
The team presented a smart electronic safety card designed to enhance occupational safety by utilizing remote sensing technologies to detect hazardous gases and chemicals in workplace environments and provide real-time alerts for proactive risk prevention.
In recognition of its originality, technical merit, and industrial applicability, the project received an official recommendation for patent registration, highlighting its innovative value and potential impact across industrial sectors.
This achievement reflects Yanbu Industrial College's commitment to fostering innovation, empowering students to participate in high-impact national competitions, and preparing graduates capable of developing solutions that support industrial advancement and sustainable development.
