About the department

The department is responsible for managing the Special Programs Fund and the Student Fund.
It coordinates with all departments within the Education Sector as well as external entities with financial ties, including individuals and institutions. Its responsibilities include the following:

  • Revenues
  • Budget preparation
  • Bank guarantees
  • Auditing and financial review
  • Monitoring financial affairs of regular students and self-funded students
  • Expenditures
  • Accounting records
  • Financial commitments
  • Final accounts
  • Responding to regulatory authorities
  • Coordination with the Royal Commission’s Finance Department
  • Investment

The department is also committed to proposing initiatives that enhance the diversification of income sources within the Education Sector and improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
