In line with the vision established by the wise leadership—which aims to develop educational infrastructure and institutions—the Colleges and Institutes Sector was launched in 2009. This sector was tasked with managing and supervising post-secondary education within the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, particularly amidst the industrial development boom that brought numerous projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, In response to the resulting expansion and growth of the Saudi labor market, the decision was made to establish the Colleges and Institutes Sector. This sector serves as a vital source of skilled national talent and manpower—individuals who are trained, guided, and equipped with the necessary expertise to become the driving force behind the development of this blessed land. The sector awards bachelor’s degrees across various disciplines and intermediate university degrees in other fields, in addition to offering specialized programs and short courses.
