The Department of General Studies of Yanbu English Language and Preparatory Year Institute is one of the departments of the Yanbu Industrial College and is striving hard to play its unique role in imparting quality education to the students of Yanbu Industrial College in fields of Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Physical Education, Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. In these specialties, we offer a wide range of courses that prepare the students of the Preparatory Year Program, Associate Degree Program, and Bachelor Degree program to pursue their professional studies and to fit into their careers. These disciplines equip the students with analytical thinking, problem-solving, modeling, computing, measurements, and physical fitness.

In this era of emerging technologies and advanced sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry form the backbone for knowledge development not only for scientists but also for engineers. They have been playing a major role in enhancing the ability of reasoning, logical skills and analysis. Our focus is to produce graduates equipped with modern tools with a strong understanding of real world and engineering problems. We have a highly qualified multinational staff that has an unprecedented passion to serve the institution. The GS faculty consists of over 90 accomplished academics representing seven nationalities. As both educators and researchers, they bring innovation to their work and remain deeply committed to achieving the institution’s objectives.
