Based on the role of scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and learning resources in serving the General Administration of Education and society, the Agency of Research and Industrial Development was established within the organizational structure of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. It was approved on February 10, 2022, with the aim of harnessing material and human capabilities in the Royal Commission to develop services, support innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and consultations to increase productivity and establish sustainable development strategies. This aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives and its transformation programs.

The Research and Industrial Development Agency were established as part of the organizational structure of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, approved on February 10, 2022. Its creation came in recognition of the vital role of scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and learning resources in serving both the General Directorate of Education and the wider community. The agency works to make the most of the Royal Commission’s human and material resources, offering services and support in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and consultancy. Its mission is to boost productivity, promote sustainable development strategies, and align closely with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its transformational programs.
