Program Educational Objectives (PEOS):
- Apply their knowledge and skills as effective and productive civil engineers to enable sustainable growth of the community.
- Work and communicate effectively in order to develop practical, technically-sound, cost- effective solutions to civil engineering problems.
- Enhance self-confidence, ability to make proper decisions, and adhere to professional ethics.
- Pursue lifelong learning to keep themselves conversant with latest development in their fields of practice or study.
Students Outcomes (SOs):
- Describe the knowledge needed in planning, design and construction of Civil Engineering infrastructures.
- Identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
- Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
- Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
- Function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
- Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
