Program Educational Objectives (PEO):

The MIS program will enable graduates to:

1.       Employ their managerial knowledge and technical skills to successfully participate in and support information systems and technologies in organizational decision making;

2.       Analyze and manage the specification, design and implementation of information systems;

3.       Demonstrate the knowledge of contemporary issues related to the field of managing information systems;

4.       Show self-confidence in decision-making, teamwork, effective communication and social responsibility; and

5.       Pursue lifelong learning and continuing education.

Students Outcomes (SOs):

  • Explain the business theories and practices that are relevant for IS environment
  • Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions
  • Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts
  • Support the delivery, use, and management of information systems within an information systems environment
  • Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
  • Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
